Kinderpram is a
basic introduction to sailing for kids and their parents, emphasizing safety
and FUN on the water. It is an ideal first introduction to sailing at an early
age (4-6) and older kids (7-9) that aren’t quite ready for the longer and more
formal Green Fleet classes offered in 2-week sessions throughout the summer.
Kinderpram is
offered in 5 sessions from 5:45 pm - 7:15pm, either on Monday, Tuesday, or
Thursday evenings, beginning June 17. Each class is split by age (ages 4-6
& 7-9). Instruction within these groups will be further differentiated by
interest and ability.
Tuesday and Thursday
evening classes are led by the MYSF coaching team. The Monday evening session
relies 100% on the time and effort of parents and volunteer instructors.
Regardless of which class you're registered for, we encourage parents to get
involved and register to help out rigging/derigging boats, helping grill/serve
food, clean up boats and food areas, etc.
