The Introduction to 420 Racing is designed for youth aged 12–18 who want to learn to sail or advance their racing skills in a fun, social environment. The Club 420 is a double-handed sailboat for 2 people, giving sailors the chance to develop teamwork and collaboration on the water. Participants will build essential seamanship skills including personal safety and boat handling, knot tying and rigging, caring for equipment, capsizing and righting the boat, introductory skippering and crewing, and reading the wind and understanding points of sail
Whether you’re new to sailing or looking to sharpen your racing skills in a 420, this class provide a safe, supportive, and exciting time on the water! This class will help prepare sailors for our High School Sailing classes that run in the Spring and Fall seasons.
