Our Parents on the Water (POW) class is open to parents who have children registered in our Monday evening classes. The class will be taught by fellow sailing parents and board members on our 2-person dinghy 420 sailboats. This class was created as a fundraiser to help MYSF purchase new optimist sailboats, we ask for a suggested donation of $250. The classes will run simultaneously with our kid camps, however this class will only last 4 weeks opposed to the kids 6 week session, starting the 2nd week and ending the 5th week. POW will cover sailing basics, including seamanship, knot tying, steering, and capsizing. Session Dates - Monday Evenings 5:30-7:30p June 24 July 8, 15, 22
