Our Madison Youth Racing Team is back this summer for our returning racers, new racers who attended a regatta through our Green Fleet program or others with prior racing experience. This concentrated racing program groups our racers together for two 3-week camps throughout the summer and prepares them for 2-3 events. 

New for this year: 3 week class sessions! Each session will include regatta coaching for an Inland Lake Yachting Association-MYSF supported regatta.

All regattas will be supported by MYSF coaches, but require parental/guardian attendance and support. Coaches will provide on and off the water coaching and regatta support. Parent/Guardian volunteers will assist coaches in boat transportation and other means of support throughout the season.

Racers are welcome to come to as many regattas as they wish. Regatta Event Registration and Registration Fee is to be completed separately.

Recommended Ages: 8-14
​Pre-requisites: Green Fleet, prior regatta attendance through Green Fleet, other racing experience

There are 2 different pricing options for these camps. A charter fee has been added to registration for those who do not own their own optimist. The boat charter fee will go to support the long-term health of our fleets, including providing competitive racing boats for MYSF sailors for years to come. Each racer will be assigned an Optimist for the session and will be held to the same "ownership" standards as others.
